Probably no surprise to some of ya but we can’t keep doing pong tourneys on Friday if only 5-10 people show up. It creates a financially negative night and a business can’t survive on that. Obviously it’s summer and between house parties, camping, summer etc we get it but we have to do what’s best for the biz.
This Friday will be the last attempt at holding tourneys on Fridays and if slow again then we will be moving tourneys to Sat nights where it’s a lot busier and could actually even be a better turnout and payouts. We’ll definitely be using the pagers if it ends up on a Saturday night.
I am sorry for any inconvenience but we gotta change or fix something fast or we’ll be out of business.
Maybe we can move the side vip and have legit co****le tourneys on the side on a sat night as well and just make Saturdays night packed? Just spitting out some ideas.
We love you guys and hopefully don’t get the wrong impression with this post as it’s been the pong players that have made Friday nights last as long as they have.

I know summer and good weather is upon us so teams may be a bit scattered but don’t let that scare you from coming out. Have fun tonight and we may add singles every night just for some extra action

Hey guys I’ll be running pong this Friday so you can all play and not worry about running it and to give me an idea of what you guys may need to help run more efficiently. I won’t be playing unless there isn’t enough teams or someone absolutely needs a partner. This will also make it fair for everyone since I’m not playing and would be an easy win for me 😂😂😂

Sapphire Pong Rules:
10 cup double elimination

To start:
1: one person on each team will throw ball into cups while making eye contact. First one to make it in starts the game. That cup is not removed and game starts with each team having 10 cups.
2: each team will throw or bounce the ball into a cup.
3: If a thrown ball is made then one cup is removed.
4: if a bounced ball makes it in then 2 cups are removed
5: if none or one of the 2 balls are made the turn is over and balls go to next team
6: if both balls are made in separate cups then both of those cups are removed and the balls returned to the team that threw them
7: if both balls are made in same cup then that cup and any two other cups are removed and balls return to the team that threw them
8: There is a re-rack at 6,4,3,2 only
9: The first team to make all 10 cups wins the game
10: When all 10 cups are made then The opposing team has a rebuttal opportunity. If the losing team can get rid of remainder cups on their turn then both teams put out 3 cups and start again.
11: During a rebuttal the losing team players keep
Shooting as long as balls are made. If one player makes it and the other doesn’t then the player that made it can keep shooting till either a miss or clearing of cups.
12: There is no blowing or fi*****ng the ball in a cup.
13: Swatting a bounced ball is allowed but if you knock over a cup during a swat then that cup is removed
14: During the tournament it is recommended you stay near the tourney area or check in with the pong runner if you need to smoke, grab a drink, bathroom, etc as when it is your turn to play there is a strict 5 minute time limit to make it to the tables or a disqualification will be applied
15: Elbows cannot cross the front of the table during a throw.
16: The pong runner has final say if a disqualification is necessary due to continually broken rules or unsportsmanlike behaviors.
17: doors open 9pm with games starting at
10:15pm sharp.
