We have been rewarded with some really fine athletes and teams along the way here at Auburn High school. In the 2010 season our quarterback Michael Bates completed a career that left him second in yards passing in the entire state of Illinois including all classes. I would like some past athletes to talk about some of their games and\or records – and whatever other information that they would love

to share. I would like the discussion to also include upcoming games, with respect to not insulting any calls or referee mistakes. Let’s just enjoy Auburn Sports and behave in a way that opposing towns respect our sportsmanship. Feel free to add photo’s or records that you may hold and we can set that up on the site also.

One of things I love about being a Jr. High Athletic Director is that you get to see people that you haven’t seen. Tonight at our Jr. High Track meet I got to talk to an old friend Coy Angelo long time Football coach at Divernon. It was great talking with Coy and reminiscing old times. Brought back memories of very influential people in my life (Dave Bruna, Coy Angelo, and Don Beard) showing me how much fun this profession can and would be!

Congratulations to the Coaches and Players of the Auburn Jr. High School Scholastic Bowl Team on winning the Jr. High MSM Conference Tournament! What a great performance by all going 3-0 tonight! Special thanks to Nate Robinson, Sami Eaker, Coach Emily Kuntemeier, Melissa Layton, and Principal Christy Bailey for all their help in running a great Scholastic Bowl Conference Tournament! Thanks to everyone for their help in running the tournament as we had several high school students assist in various ways!

Auburn Jr. High 7th grade volleyball team defeated North Mac tonight 25-16 & 25 - 12 to advance to the regional championship tomorrow night at 6:00 P.M. in Divernon! It will be a Blue out so Trojan fans wear your blue and be loud!
