A HUGE shoutout to for our first ever Open House/Member Happy Hour/New Member welcome party on June 6. At least 75 people enjoyed perfect weather and another fantastic sunset from the beautiful grounds of Owasco Yacht Club. The mood was set with music by Les Izmoore (Jim Horseman on keyboards), food by the OYC kitchen’s own Paddle & Plate, featuring Lesley Brooks-Bianchi from Owasco Market & Deli, assisted by Cassie DeHart. Wine from Sennett Still & Barrel and pizza from Nino’s also added to the tastes of the evening.

Aline Moses from "Stroll Skaneateles" magazine was among the special guests on hand, as well as speaker Dr. Marc Pietropaoli from Victory in Motion and his wife, Cristina, who distributed copies of Dr. Marc’s Amazon #1 bestseller, “Repair Not Replace – Natural Joint Relief Without Surgery or Pills” to our guests.

Thanks to those who came for their first visit. We couldn’t have done it without the support of the members of our OYC family and our board of directors.

It's time to think about being outside and on the lake! Did you know that even though our name is "Yacht Club" we don't have any yachts and you don't need to have a boat to join us. We've been around since 1892 when there really were yachts and our name has a lot of history. Now we just like to have fun and easy access to beautiful Owasco Lake.

HUGE Shout out to Sarah and Ricky from Sennet Still & Barrel and the whole crew from Paddle & Plate (AKA Owasco Market & Deli). The OYC 5 Course Wine Dinner on October 10 was wonderful! Perfect day, food, wine, people and of course, sunset!

The OYC has had "Beer Tastings" each Labor Day weekend for many years. This year it got reinvented into our first ever Oktoberfest on October 4. Such a great turn out of members and their guests. Paddle & Plate offered a "Fest" themed menu that was a hit with the partiers. It's going to be a regular thing!
