PROS and CONS of being in shape.

I’m going to do a small comparison of the two based on my own opinion. I’m sure I will leave some off, so feel free to weigh in.

Pros- Your selection of clothing increases with much more variety. Which means you enjoy how you look and feel in certain clothes. That plays into your self esteem and mood. 👙

Your metabolism is high which helps fight of sicknesses and things that would normally drag you down. Energy levels are up so you aren’t having to rely on sugar and energy drinks. Having some muscle helps with aging…period. A lot of older people are 1 fall away from breaking a hip and being in a wheelchair or cane for good. Imagine being in your mid 40s and never having the energy to do anything except scroll on your phone and pop food into a microwave. It’s a sad state, but a lot of people are stuck right there. 🏃🏻‍♂️

Your friends and family see you doing something progressive and you pass that trait on to them. Most people never see anyone in their family eat right or workout so the last thing they are going to do is something hard. Call it “genetics” or “hereditary” no the problem is you never saw anyone close to you doing it. 🏋🏽

Your overall health markers get better and you rely on less over the counter medications. 💊 💰

Cons- You may lose out on some of your social time. There is a negative stigma about going to the gym, that to be in shape you have to eat sleep and workout 10 hours of the day everyday to maintain an in shape physique. That false summary is brought to you by people who were never in shape. ⏰

Your food choices and portions change. Instead of pizza 2x per week it becomes 2x per months. Instead of eating 8 slices you stop at 4-5 and have a salad to help satiate you. 🍕 🥩

Food OWNS a huge percentage of our society. You are led by the food choices you make. Whether it’s quick and convenient or just all out tasty. The way the food makes you feel as you are eating it is never the same way it makes you feel an hour after. Therefore your mood, decision making, energy levels are all dictated on the foods you allow.

🚧 TRANSFORMATION CHALLENGE UPDATES 🚧

In August I ran a 5 month transformation challenge.
Here is Stacy Garrison showing her before and after. Right at 20 pounds lost going into the NEW YEAR.

Most of the challenges that come to me have zero metabolism. They usually only eat 1 meal per day and snack when they think about it. After 2 weeks of strict dieting and meal planning they have no clue how they are hungry all the time and weight is falling off.

The BIGGEST negative from a 20 pound drop, your clothes won’t fit anymore. The plus is, now you get to buy new clothes to accentuate your new body going into the new year!

- No fad diet
- 4 solid meals per day
- training 4-5x per week
- CONFIDENCE BOOSTED ✅

Stubborn body fat?
Tired all the time?
Afraid to get on the scale?

The person who can CONQUER the foods they do and don’t put in their body, is capable of taking over the world.

It’s obviously been done by people before who didn’t have the discipline to say NO to tempting foods.

BUT with the will POWER and discipline it takes to say no to the foods society gives notoriety to, you can do absolutely ANYTHING. I just use the example of “taking over the world” to challenge people into trying for a BIGGER PURPOSE.

With all of the information we have today at our fingertips, it just blows my mind that people still CHOOSE to pick the worst food choices possible.

The phrase “Mecca” get tossed around way too much. I have been to a lot of gyms and seen a lot of cool places to train. If there are not a core group of people in there doing things like this on a daily basis then please DO NOT use the term “Mecca.” 10 weeks out earning every inch.

My personal bodybuilding win/loss record will never be something people remember me by. Being remembered as someone who brings outsiders into a cult-like world and made them feel like this is why they were put on this planet is my PASSION! The younger they are the more my word sinks in. 17th birthday present was to come to Nashville for the weekend and train with Coach! It’s truly special to me in today’s world, all the things that he could have asked for at that age and this is what he chose. Birthday dinner was at Morton’s Steakhouse with the fam, which would be Sam’s first cheat meal in a year and 4 months... (Sam’s choosing not mine HA)!!
He got to see what Southern Hospitality is all about... Awesome Gyms, Car Shows, New pair of boots!
