PROS and CONS of being in shape.
I’m going to do a small comparison of the two based on my own opinion. I’m sure I will leave some off, so feel free to weigh in.
Pros- Your selection of clothing increases with much more variety. Which means you enjoy how you look and feel in certain clothes. That plays into your self esteem and mood. 👙
Your metabolism is high which helps fight of sicknesses and things that would normally drag you down. Energy levels are up so you aren’t having to rely on sugar and energy drinks. Having some muscle helps with aging…period. A lot of older people are 1 fall away from breaking a hip and being in a wheelchair or cane for good. Imagine being in your mid 40s and never having the energy to do anything except scroll on your phone and pop food into a microwave. It’s a sad state, but a lot of people are stuck right there. 🏃🏻♂️
Your friends and family see you doing something progressive and you pass that trait on to them. Most people never see anyone in their family eat right or workout so the last thing they are going to do is something hard. Call it “genetics” or “hereditary” no the problem is you never saw anyone close to you doing it. 🏋🏽
Your overall health markers get better and you rely on less over the counter medications. 💊 💰
Cons- You may lose out on some of your social time. There is a negative stigma about going to the gym, that to be in shape you have to eat sleep and workout 10 hours of the day everyday to maintain an in shape physique. That false summary is brought to you by people who were never in shape. ⏰
Your food choices and portions change. Instead of pizza 2x per week it becomes 2x per months. Instead of eating 8 slices you stop at 4-5 and have a salad to help satiate you. 🍕 🥩
Food OWNS a huge percentage of our society. You are led by the food choices you make. Whether it’s quick and convenient or just all out tasty. The way the food makes you feel as you are eating it is never the same way it makes you feel an hour after. Therefore your mood, decision making, energy levels are all dictated on the foods you allow.
