Sucker Brook Cross

Sucker Brook Cross 13th Annual Charity Cyclocross Race: Sunday, Sept 17, 2017. Net proceeds from the event will directly benefit an Auburn, NH resident battling cancer.

We know that you have some quality choices for Sunday, 9/20 and, that said, we're hoping that you'll join us for the 11th annual Sucker Brook Cross! As in past years, net proceeds from the event will directly benefit an Auburn, NH resident battling cancer. Since the inaugural SBC in '05, sponsors and participants have made it possible for us to donate to Auburn cancer patients and we're looking forward to another great year! Hope to see you on the 20th!

Thinking we had a good run of thirteen editions of Sucker Brook Cross but we have made the decision to pull the plug and call it a day. It has been obvious for some time now that construction at the school would make running future events at that location impossible and the new venue location on Manchester Water Works property, while having some good points, had just too many negatives to make it workable.
Bottom line? We are proud that we were able to raise a total of $80,000 for Auburn cancer patients and present a quality event at the same time! Thank you to all who helped make it happen over the years and singling out my lovely wife Barbara and my right hand man, Herb Bates! If you need course supplies, please give me a shout!

Just a heads-up CX peeps...due to a major renovation at the Auburn Village School we have made the decision to cancel this year’s SBC and return in 2019. Please keep SBC in mind when making your cross plans for next season and have a successful 2018 season!

Great message from Nick Stevens...

I would like to thank all those involved in putting on this race last weekend. We moved to the NE in September 2016 and this was the first race we did here. It was a great experience, the first cross race for my kids and I really enjoyed the course and atmosphere. This year we decided to do it again, mainly because of the enjoyment from last year. This year it was even better. The kids course was an improvement. It was actually challenging, but enjoyable for all. My 3 kids loved it! Plus ice cream and a medal. Doesn't get much better.
I also thought the full course was really good. I love the way you used the features you had to make a mix of grass and natural trail.

As a family, we had a great experience at your race. The atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming and the volunteers all chilled, helpful and experienced. Thanks so much for putting on such a great event. We will be sure to return next year.

Thanks to our Fire Chief, "Mr. Ed" Gannon, for use of his personal Gator for venue set-up and breakdown. Never realized how much time and energy is spent dragging buckets of stakes around! Having use of this thing has been HUGE!
