đźź Auburn Bombers Impressive In Win Against Beatrice Bullets Orange

Auburn Bombers 11U easily dispatched Beatrice Bullets Orange 11U on Tuesday, 9-1.
Auburn allowed only one hit in the top of the first with a strong defensive outing. Milton Kreifels stepped on the bump for the Bombers, taking down the first Bullets batter swinging, while shortstop Crew Armknecht took a ground ball to first for out number two and first baseman Brayden Walters caught a fly ball for out three. The Bombers got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Paxton Henrichs and Crew Armknecht walked, Paxton scored on a wild pitch to Crew, and Grady Gulizia grounded out to the pitcher for an RBI to score Crew.
The Bombers again held the Bullets scoreless in the second when Beatrice grounded out to shortstop Crew Armknecht, and flew out to second baseman Grady Gulizia and pitcher Milton Kreifels. Auburn extended their early lead with three runs in the bottom of the second thanks to RBI errors by Sawyer Carnahan and Milton Kreifels. Carson DeBuhr singled on a fly ball to right field, Sawyer hit a fly ball to left field reaching on an error and scoring Carson; McCoy Willis drew a walk, and Milton Kreifels hit a ground ball reaching on an error by the pitcher to score Sawyer.
Despite having two on base in the third, Beatrice was still unable to get on the board. The Bullets grounded out to first baseman Brayden Walters, flew out to center fielder Hoyt Snodgrass, and Milton Kreifels took down one swinging. A fly out by Grady Gulizia, an error, and a ground out by Vinny Gulizia helped Auburn extend their early lead in the third. Hoyt Snodgrass drew a walk and Crew Armknecht was hit by a pitch before Hoyt scored during Grady’s at-bat on an error by the Bullets catcher. Brayden Walters hit a ground ball reaching on an error by third base to score Crew, Carson DeBuhr singled on a line drive to center field; and Vinny grounded out to shortstop to drive in two - Carson and Brayden.
Beatrice's lone run came in the top of the fourth after a walk with loaded bases. Crew Armknecht caught a fly ball at shortstop, second baseman Grady Gulizia made a play on a ground ball and caught a fly ball to shut down the Bullets offense with a score of 9-1. While the game ended due to run rule: 8 after four; Beatrice and Auburn finished out the inning. In the bottom of the fourth McCoy Willis was hit by a pitch, Milton Kreifels drew a walk and Paxton Henrichs walked to load the bases. Hoyt Snodgrass singled on a line drive to center field to score McCoy, Crew Armknecht walked bringing Milton across the plate, and Grady Guluizia singled on a fly ball to left field to score Paxton. Brayden Walters walked, bringing in Hoyt, Carson DeBuhr doubled on a line drive to right field to score Crew and Grady; and Vinny Gulizia singled on a fly ball to center to score Brayden. Sawyer Carnahan stepped to the plate and singled on a fly ball to center to score Carson, advancing Vinny to third, scoring on a passed ball during McCoy’s at-bat.
Milton Kreifels earned the win for Auburn. The starter allowed two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out two and walking one. Marshall Dunn appeared in relief for the Bombers, throwing one inning with two walks and one run.
Vinny Gulizia led the Bombers with two runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. Carson DeBuhr led Auburn with two hits in two at bats. Paxton Henrichs (2) and Crew Armknecht (3) each stole multiple bases for Auburn who ran wild on the base paths, collecting eight stolen bases for the game - Milton Kreifels, Hoyt Snodgrass, and Sawyer Carnahan each added one.
Although the game was over, with time still left to burn, the Bombers and the Bullets went ahead and started an unofficial fifth inning for fun. Marshall Dunn stepped on the bump for the Bombers with Milton Kreifels at catcher. Beatrice got on base with a single to left field, and scored two runs after a single, an error, and 3 walked batters. Bombers third baseman Sawyer Carnahan made a play on a ground ball, throwing an advancing runner out to second baseman Vinny Gulizia. Pitcher Marshall Dunn took a hard hop from a ground ball to throw a runner out advancing home to Milton Kreifels, and second baseman Vinny Gulizia played a ground ball throwing out the runner at first to Grady Gulizia (17-3).

🔵 Auburn Bombers Stymied By Nebraska Dominators Black

Auburn Bombers 11U couldn't keep up with Nebraska Dominators Black 11U and fell 10-4 on Monday at Auburn City Recreation Complex.
The Bombers started the game with a solid defense, only allowing the Dominators three at-bats in the top of the first. Three ground outs in a row held the dominators scoreless: third baseman Milton Kreifels to first baseman Brayden Walters; short stop Crew Armknecht to Brayden at first; and pitcher Sawyer Carnahan to first. In the bottom of the inning, Paxton Henrichs was hit by a pitch, Crew Armknecht singled on a fly ball to short stop, and Brayden Walters was hit by a pitch. Despite multiple runners on base, the Bombers were unable to score.
Nebraska Dominators Black got on the board in the top of the second inning after being struck by a pitch, and a fly ball for an out to center fielder Hoyt Snodgrass, each scored one run. Pitcher Sawyer Carnahan also caught a fly ball for an out, and the Dominators grounded out to shortstop Crew Armknecht. The Bombers put one on the board when Grady Gulizia walked and was able to score on a wild pitch to Sawyer Carnahan.
In the top of the third, Auburn turned a double play when Lincoln grounded to second baseman Grady Gulizia, flipping the ball to short stop Crew Armknecht for an out at second; while Crew Fired to first baseman Brayden Walters for the out at first. Vinny Gulizia also caught a fly ball at pitcher, holding the Dominators scoreless. The Bombers jumped into the lead in the bottom of the third inning after Milton Kreifels walked, Paxton Henrichs doubled on a line drive to center field, and Hoyt Snodgrass grounded out for an RBI to score Milton. Crew Armknecht flew out to right field, allowing Paxton to score.
Lincoln captured the lead, 4-3, in the top of the fourth after a single down the left field line, and a walk, each scoring one run. Pitcher Vinny Gulizia picked off a runner at first base and — threw a runner out while advancing to third. The Dominators also grounded out to Vinny for out number three. Auburn tied the game in the bottom of the inning. Vinny was hit by a pitch, Grady Gulizia singled on a hard ground ball to left field and Marshall Dunn lined out to the pitcher, while Vinny was able to score on a wild pitch during Marshall’s at-bat.
The Dominators flipped the game on its head in the top of the fifth, scoring five runs on three hits to take the lead, 9-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a single that drove in two. Defensively, third baseman Milton Kreifels caught a fly ball for the Bombers, shortstop Crew Armknecht made a play on a ground ball fielder’s choice at second; and center fielder Hoyt Snodgrass caught a line drive to end the at-bat. Despite Paxton Henrichs single on a line drive to right field, the Bombers couldn’t get on the board in the fifth.
In the top of the sixth, the Dominators scored once more off a groundball due to a Bombers error. Crew Armknecht struck out one swinging, and first baseman Bradyen Walters made plays on two ground balls. The Dominators held the Bombers in the bottom, Brayden Walters hit a ground ball reaching on an error by the shortstop for the only hit in the inning.
Vinny Gulizia took the loss for Auburn. The hurler went three and one-third innings, allowing seven runs (one earned) on six hits, striking out none and walking four. Sawyer Carnahan stepped on the bump first for the Bombers. The starter surrendered zero hits and two runs over one and one-third innings, striking out none and walking three. Crew Armknecht closed the game for Auburn, throwing one and one third innings, striking out one, walking one and allowing one run off zero hits.
Paxton Henrichs set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Auburn with two hits in two at bats. Hoyt Snodgrass led the Bombers with one run batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day.
