🚨 **PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT** 📣
We’ve recently had a large amount of customer inquiries as to how the application process is going to be affected for suppressors and other NFA items going forward as of the new January 2026 changes.
So, in an effort to curb frustration for everyone, please read the following… (this applies to you if you currently have tax stamp paperwork ready for submission and/or are currently awaiting ATF approval)
December 15th, 2025 - SilencerShop stopped accepting 2025 submissions for tax stamps and automatically started categorizing new submissions in the “free tax stamp” category for January 2026. This was done in order to prepare their systems for the heavy load coming starting January 2026.
December 26th, 2025 - ATF eForms stopped processing tax stamp submissions in 2025 which was also done in order to prepare their systems for the heavy load coming in January 2026.
January 2nd, 2026 - Submissions/certifications for the $0 tax stamp begin rolling out. Website slowdowns and submission issues between both SilencerShop & ATF eForms have been and will continue to be the issue slowing the entire process down NATIONWIDE.
The best we can expect moving forward is that the websites begin running at a normal pace and we don’t experience any outages as a result of the MASSIVE amount of submissions taking place all over the country starting this January.
What we ask of all of our customers is that all who have a suppressor that you either chose to wait for the $0 stamp or chose to submit while the $200 stamp fee was still in effect. PLEASE, be patient. This is new territory for all dealers across the country, and with this massive influx of submissions, there will be delays. We have only been able to get a handful of submissions to go through since the site opened up this morning. So, we are continuously attempting to get things submitted for all those who are waiting.
Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the federal government and the systems they have in place for us to submit paperwork. We have someone working on this specifically, during business hours and non-business hours.
If your submission does go through, you will receive email notifications as your paperwork travels through the approval process. There is no need to stop in or contact us unless you receive messages notifying you of…
1.) An issue with paperwork, which we gladly will help you get resolved as quickly as possible.
OR
2.) Your paperwork has been approved! You will be notified by eForms when your tax stamp has been approved and you can stop in to pick up your NFA items. We will also call to notify you of this, in case you miss the email notification.
Hopefully this sheds some light on the situation at hand. Please work together with us and most of all, be patient! We appreciate you all!
Thank you!
