Reel Rumors Fishing Report out of Au Gres 6/18/2026
Winds and small craft advisories over the last two weeks including today and tomorrow have kept the Kingfisher tied to the dock. The long-range forecast indicates the wind will stabilize by Saturday and hold through the upcoming week (so they say?). On a good note, we were able to fish yesterday in perfect weather conditions. The morning started out a little slow but by the second pass in slightly deeper water it was Walleye mania with all hands-on deck, boxing a four-man limit of 32 eyes slightly before noon. Fishing 12 to 14 feet pulling crystal harnesses behind 2-ounce bottom bouncers at a speed of 1.6 was best. “Yellow Belly’, Yellow Belly Bread, and Wicked were our hot baits along with a new prototype we’ve been playing with (“JJ”).
