so just what does Groundskeeper Ron have to say about the wonderful course improvements ?
"I made the course in 1999 using the tone poles that were purchased from Northern Tube in Pinconning where I was working at the time. A bunch of the first ten years were spent hauling trash to the dump, trash that had accumulated from many years of people using Old Airport as their own convenient dumping grounds. It was more than once that all of the grass was cut with a push mower. And although it took fourteen years, adding twenty baskets in 2013 was one of the best days of my life. Still, I never really believed that the course would continue to grow. And with these improvements now, well it only took thirteen more years to get the tee pads. I'd say that we're on a roll, baby ! I keep having to pinch myself to actually know that this is all real. It seems like a lifetime of work".
Well Ron, that's because twenty seven years is a lifetime worth of work.
