We spotted some of our Lapeer County Sportsmen’s Club members out on the range tonight, and let’s just say… they know how to have a good time! 😎🎯

There’s nothing better than getting together with friends, grabbing a shotgun, breaking some clays, and maybe giving each other a little grief when those targets decide they’d rather LIVE. 😂

Whether you’re an experienced shooter or just looking for something fun to do, come on out and join us! We love welcoming new faces to the club and sharing the fun of shotgun sports.

💙💛 What a beautiful night of women supporting women! 💛💙

Tonight was such a great evening as the Lapeer County Sportsmen’s Club Women’s Shotgun Group got together for some fun, fellowship, and time on the range! 🏆🎯

Several amazing women came out, and we had a fantastic time! Not every shot was a hit—and that’s okay! 😉 We celebrated every clay that broke apart and encouraged each other when a target got away. That’s one of my favorite things about this group: we cheer each other on, celebrate the wins, laugh at the misses, and lift each other up every step of the way. ❤️

A huge THANK YOU to Dave Kopp for being our Range Safety Officer and coach tonight. Your time, knowledge, and encouragement are so appreciated!

And a special thank-you to Debbie Uren for putting this group together every month and creating such a welcoming place for women to come together and enjoy shotgun sports. 🥰

Whether you’re experienced or have never picked up a shotgun before, there’s something special about getting together, learning something new, and encouraging other women along the way.

We hope to see everyone again in October for our FINAL Women’s Shotgun Group meeting of the year! 🎯💥

🇺🇸 Remembering September 11 — 25 Years Later 🇺🇸

This Friday, September 11, marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks — a day our nation will never forget.

We remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the countless families and communities forever changed by that day. We honor their sacrifice by remembering not only what happened, but also the freedoms and values that we continue to cherish as Americans.

One meaningful way we can honor those freedoms is by becoming educated, responsible, and prepared.

🇺🇸 Our Second Amendment is part of the freedoms protected by our Constitution. Learning how to safely and responsibly handle a firearm is one way we can better understand and appreciate that freedom.

So this Friday, we invite the women of our community to join us at the Lapeer County Sportsmen’s Club for our Women’s Shotgun Group.

🎯 You do NOT need to know how to shoot!
🎯 Beginners are absolutely welcome.
🎯 Experienced shooters are welcome too.
🎯 Come learn, practice, and enjoy some time with other women.

This isn't about fear or politics. It's about education, responsibility, camaraderie, and appreciating the freedoms we have as Americans.
As we pause to remember those we lost 25 years ago, let's do so with gratitude, respect, and reverence — and with a renewed appreciation for the freedoms they helped remind us never to take for granted.

Starting in September through our last dinner in December, we will be collecting donations to help support the families of fallen first responders.
This year, donations will be divided between a fallen police officer’s family and a fallen firefighter’s family. 👮‍♂️🚒

What a fantastic second Friday of the month at the Lapeer County Sportsman’s Club! 🏏☀️

We had beautiful weather and an amazing group of women come out to participate, have some fun, and enjoy a little time on the range together.

Tonight, we tried Five Stand, which is similar to sporting clays—but with a lot less walking! 😉 It was a great time, and we loved seeing everyone out there giving it a try.

A huge thank you to our helper, Dave Kopp, for all his help, and to all the women who came out and simply enjoyed a fun evening together. We appreciate you!

We hope to see everyone again in September! ❤️

Calling all women! Come on out even if you don't own a gun! LCSC has a 20-gauge you can borrow. Must bring your own ammunition. Cost $5. Come and see old friends and make new friends. See how fun the sport of shot gun can be.

Are you a female in 6th grade through senior in high school? We would LOVE to see you there. You can speak with women familiar with the High School Shotgun league and be confident to sign up on a team.
