After nearly 14 years, I am officially closing the door on a business that has lived and breathed in Atoka.
Our mission was always simple: serve all of Tipton County. From free women’s self-defense clinics and accessible training for first responders to collecting snack packs in lieu of dues, one thing never changed—we were here to love and serve everyone, regardless of income, background, or how you vote.
Now that our time in Atoka is complete, I wanted to leave one parting thought:
Recently, campaign signs were placed near our building. Campaign signs near a commercial property do not equal an endorsement from the small businesses inside. Business owners rarely have a say in what goes along roadside easements. This isn’t about any candidate; it’s a reminder not to judge a local business by roadside signs or online chatter. If we want small businesses to survive, walk through the door, meet the people, and decide for yourself. Bring that same mindset to the voting polls: ask questions, look past the noise, and do your own research.
To every student, family, and friend who supported us over these 14 years: thank you. I said a prayer of thanksgiving for each of you as we locked the door for the last time. Thank you for an incredible chapter. 💙🥋
