Getting ready!

Because of severe weather potential we are leaving early today. We will leave at 8(as soon as we can) with plans on being back potentially before school is out. All games have been moved to as early as possible in Edmond at OCU. I will watch weather very closely all day and will leave early to get home if need be. Our kids safety is my no 1 concern! Because of the schedule change the games will likely not be streamed , but I’ll post the link if they are.

Exciting news for our School! Our Esports program will be getting some exciting new upgrades that will allow us bring esports to the next level! Stay tuned for some awesome announcements in the upcoming future!!!!

So here is the rundown for next week's competition in Weatherford, this will only affect our Middle school Overwatch 2 team. Fortnite finished 4th and Rocket League tied for 3rd place, both did amazing, but only Overwatch 2 finished in the top spot to fight it out at the state competition!

We will leave on Friday, April 5th around 1pm. We will travel to Weatherford, check into our rooms, then eat supper and back to the room. On Saturday, we won't need to check in until 12pm as we play at 1:30 for finals. If we win the first game, we win OKSE STATE! If we lose, it resets the bracket, and they have to beat us a 2nd time to win! We will travel back as soon as they finish the awards ceremony with an estimated arrival time of 6-7pm on Saturday evening.

Students will just need any extra spending money they might want to have. Travel and meals will be provided! We will also be stopping at Yukon on the way up to pick up the new Jersey's. If you have any questions please call me or email me at [email protected], or [email protected].

Attention Middle School Parents…
So here’s what playoffs will look like next Saturday at the esports room in Atoka…

The competition will be held virtually on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024, starting at 8:00 AM. Get ready for a day of intense competition across a variety of popular titles:

8:00 AM: Rocket League & Street Fighter
9:30 AM: Super Smash Bros.
11:00 AM: Valorant
12:30 PM: Halo Infinite
2:00 PM: Overwatch
3:00 PM: Fortnite (Best of 3 series - 1st ever 100 student Battle Royale for the Oklahoma Scholastic Esports Middle School Fortnite State Championship!)

We have students in Rocket League, Overwatch, and Fortnite. If you have a child in one of these games please have them here and ready to compete!

I’d love to have some snacks and drinks, and maybe a lunch option that day if we have any volunteers.

Students do not have to stay once they’ve finished, but are welcome to be there to root on the other teams throughout the day!

If we have enough help we will also try to live stream the games that day on twitch.

We are Atoka Public Schools Esports team & we are ready to game...
