Jumpin'Mullet

The Jumpin' Mullet is a 25 foot Parker boat with a 250 HP Yahama 4-stroke outboard engine. A fast, smooth, and quiet ride, with a nice Sony sound system!

Charters are available for both the Jumpin'Mullet and the traditional wooden skiff. She's great for both inshore and offshore, either sightseeing or fishing. The traditional wooden skiff is 18 foot with a 60 HP Evenrude engine. She can be used for inshore fishing or crabbing in her in either Atlantic or Beaufort, NC. It’s been almost a couple of months since I posted anything, so here goes… Caught some beautiful Jumping Mullets by myself this afternoon in Core Sound. Such a nice day to be on the water 😊
This morning I had a charter from some folks from Ohio that just wanted to take a boat ride in Core Sound and see our Banks 😊 They loved it!
So a nice Saturday here, and Daddy’s skiff is back to the Marina this evening, ready to go again tomorrow 😊

It was pretty this morning and a perfect day for a charter :-) Took out a nice couple and caught some beautiful fish (see the 20+ inch Speckled Trout...). One really interesting thing to me was the bird we saw. The guy had grown up in Florida, and recognized this bird immediately, way before I did... It's an immature Frigatebird...

What a beautiful day on the water! A fun time was had by all by boat riding, picking up seashells, eating, and limiting out on really nice bluefish!

Day 2 of fishing for these folks. This time out in the ocean just a few miles. Beautiful Black Sea Bass, Gray Trout, Hogfish. Sea Mullets, and Croakers! Lots of fun and future good eating!

I took a charter out yesterday of a nice young couple from Minnesota via Boone that just wanted to sightsee Atlantic from the water. I didn’t know Cousin Susan took these two pictures of us from her house as we neared old Drum Inlet. She correctly noticed that we were entering into a Fata Morgana (mirage), and when I saw the pictures the first time, I didn’t recall seeing the mirage when we were there. It took me a sec to realize we were entering “into” the mirage from her perspective, so of course we couldn’t have seen it… 😊
Then both of my brain cells kicked into high gear… We’ve all been “in” the end of a rainbow before as viewed by someone else, but we couldn’t see we were at the end of the rainbow, because we were “in” it… Makes sense though, especially when you are so very thankful for what you have sometimes, if you will just notice… 😊 A pot of gold comes in many forms…
Now both of my brain cells just told each other to shut up and quit thinking… Ha Ha

We were all set to go on a Charter this morning, but one of the folks had a medical emergency last night, so they had to cancel the Charter. Since we were all set to go fishing, we decided to call a friend and go fishing ourselves… Had a great time offshore bottom-fishing just catching supper! We caught a huge variety of fish and brought home half a cooler full of Black Sea Bass, Sea Mullets, and Hogfish to eat. Sorry the Charter didn’t work out, and I do feel bad for them, but what a fun day for us!

Pretty Day today in Core Sound! Half a cooler full of fish, including Puppy Drum, Speckled Trout, Sea Mullet, Spot, Croaker, and huge hogfish! We released five flounders, which will be legal in mid-August. A good time was had by all! Yea!!!
