WORK HARD. PLAY HARD. 🎉💦

A few weeks ago, we took some time to celebrate the incredible staff who made this summer at Sunnyside Pool & the Nishna Valley Family YMCA so special! ☀️🏊‍♀️

We celebrated our amazing lifeguards and concessions staff with a “Work Hard, Play Hard” Staff Appreciation Party! 🎉

These staff members worked hard all summer long—keeping our guests safe, serving up treats, keeping things running smoothly, and helping create a fun and welcoming pool experience for our community. 💪❤️

We are so thankful for the dedication, teamwork, energy, and countless hours our staff put in this summer. You truly make a difference! 🙌

It’s time for us to say “see you later” to TWO more of our Sunnyside girls as they head back to college! 🎓🛟

Joy is our energetic, fun-loving, slightly dirty-Alani-obsessed girl 😂 who is ALWAYS ready to go! Whether she’s guarding the water, checking people in, jumping into a game with patrons, or helping wherever she’s needed, Joy brings a smile. She has been such a great asset to our team. Joy is headed into her 2nd year at ISU for Graphic Design where she also lifeguards!

And then there’s Gabbie — the calm to our Sunnyside crazy. 😂💙 She is professional, composed, and dependable, and we always know we can count on her to keep things steady. She brings such a great presence to our team, and we truly appreciate everything she contributes! Gabbie is headed back to UNO where she is studying Speech Pathology.

Joy and Gabbie may be heading back to college, but they’re taking something pretty awesome with them — skills, experience, confidence, and the ability to keep people safe in the water. 🛟

We are so thankful for the time, energy, and heart they’ve given to Sunnyside Pool. We’re going to miss them both more than they know!
