Atlanta Fencers' Club I decided to retire and close the Atlanta Fencers’ Club permanently. Thanks so much to all who have supported AFC!

Atlanta Fencers' Club is one of the oldest and most respected clubs in the Southeast, led by Maestro Gene Gettler. Unfortunately, COVID has helped Maestro Gettler to decide to retire and close the club permanently.

Landu Kialeuka Tiya, the mother of my star pupil Biaya Tiya set up the Atlanta Fencers’ Club Foundation to keep Fencing alive on the Southside of Atlanta. I am serving as Maestro Emeritus, and doing some pro bono teaching. The AFCF meets Monday and Wednesday evenings 6pm -9pm and Saturdays 2pm -4:30. We are currently meeting at the Eastlake YMCA Youth and Teen Center, 1765 Memorial Dr SE, Atlanta.

AFC will remain closed today, Saturday January 7th. Although we didn't get much snow, icy road conditions and cold temps make travel very risky. Stay home, stay safe and warm!

AFC will be CLOSED Friday evening, JANUARY 6th. With snow or freezing rain and Icy roads predicted, we want to err on the side of caution and urge everyone to stay home.
If we indeed have snow or icy road conditions tomorrow morning, we will cancel Saturday morning class. Stay tuned!
