“Discovering Argentine Tango in early 2009 felt incredibly amazing. It's a different way to think and understand communication, partnerships, relationships, and well, community. I remember wishing that I had found this beautiful dance and the community of social dancers much sooner. It presented a whole new world; a beautiful world; I knew I wanted to be a part of it. Every step has been a joy, and since then Tango has taken me places in the world I had only dreamed about. I have met and become friends with so many amazing people and masters of the dance. Through her work in the community, Tina Marie has broadened the footprint of Argentine social dancing in Atlanta and in the surrounding communities. She is an advocate for the integrity of tango, it’s culture, tradition, as well as its creative evolution. Tina's students say she makes tango easy, fun, and intriguing and that her passion is infectious. Tina works to develop in her students a greater understanding of the singular tango body (self), the dual tango body (the other), the couples communication (harmony) in partnering, and stresses the relationship between movement of and music.
