My dear friend and longtime client, Julie, passed away yesterday after a terrible battle with cancer. I can’t imagine the world without her. She was such a beautiful person with the biggest heart.
We met 18 years ago when she came to train with me — a story we always loved to laugh about. Her grandson, Conner, had asked her, “Why do you have such a jiggly butt?” — and that’s how our fitness journey together began.
Julie quickly became more than a client; she was my person. I tried out all my new training ideas and moves with her, and she was always up for the challenge. She changed so much through weight training and loved lifting heavy — for such a small person, she was incredibly strong!
But what I’ll remember most is her kindness and compassion. When I had Lumi and my family was so far away, Julie took me under her wing — always helping, taking Lumi when I needed it, even buying her school supplies. She traveled to Estonia with friends and met my family — such precious memories.
Never in a million years did I think we would lose her so soon. My heart aches, and I will miss her terribly. Rest in peace, dear Julie. You’ll forever be a part of my heart. 💕
