We've been busy! Fabricated a chassis dolly, with locally sourced caster wheels from caster depot ( organic, non GMO!). This allows us to move the chassis easily for paint work. Next step is more underbody fabrication, rock sliders and underbody plastic mounts.

Finally some progress, if small. We fabricated a mounting system for a fuel tank skid plate, not technically required since car has a fuel cell, but it's cheap insurance against pointy things. Weld nuts were added after the pic. Well also box it in on the sides and front with hdpe to prevent dirt from entering

Finally got the OEM montero wheels mounted and they really look the part, Mitsubishi really knows cool wheel design. These are called "pomegranate" wheels because of the shape.
