My life was forever change June 22, 2208...After receiving a phone call early in the morning that someone shot my baby sister. She was 27 years old, with 4 kids. I sped down the highway to get to her destination. She was at a friends house. Upon arrival there were emergency vehicles and yellow tape surrounding the house. There were no answers from the investigators about the circumstances of my sister. Hours went by and they carried her out on a gurney.

The man that took my sisters life also took the life of her friend, who was the ex of the friend. In this domestic situation, this guy committed this heinous act while kids [of my sister and her friend] were in the home. He’s now serving life in prison.

I felt powerless that I could not be there to protect my sister. I want to use my power today, to build a great supporting squad to advocate help for surviving victims. Together we can change lives.

And I have love one’s who is battling and have battled Breast Cancer. These ladies need all of our support to continue to push through. I’ve shared tears thinking of how could it be that these women [that I know] are going through this.

It starts with giving, and you can give and show your support in taking a stand against Domestic Violence and Breast Cancer.
