The Falcons may be entering a new era under Kevin Stefanski.

But one of the defense's most important pillars remains the same.

Jessie Bates III delivered another outstanding season in 2025, earning Second-Team All-Pro honors for the third time in his career.

His season included:

❤️ 98 tackles
🖤 3 interceptions (1 TD)
❤️ 6 passes defended
🖤 1 forced fumble

Bates appeared in all 17 games and started every one of them, continuing to provide leadership, production and playmaking ability in Atlanta's secondary.

The Falcons experienced another up-and-down season as a team.

But Bates once again proved why he remains one of the NFL's premier safeties and a cornerstone of this defense moving forward.

Imagine a homecoming for Georgia’s own George Pickens.

Maybe... just maybe... down the road, we see him back in black and red rocking an Atlanta Falcons uniform.

With the wide receiver market absolutely exploding right now, Pickens is currently playing out a high-stakes situation on the franchise tag.

He is an absolute game-changer with elite ball-tracking skills and that rare, unteachable alpha mentality on the boundary.

It might just be a "what if" scenario for the future right now, but the thought of the former Bulldogs star returning home to Georgia later in his career to anchor the passing game is a dream scenario.

We'll be watching closely... you can never say never in the NFL.

Atlanta has real talent on both sides of the ball, but the quarterback situation still defines the ceiling. Tua Tagovailoa appears to be the favorite in the battle with Michael Penix Jr., and if he stays healthy, the Falcons have enough weapons around him to be dangerous.

Bijan Robinson, Drake London, Kyle Pitts, and a reloaded defense give Kevin Stefanski plenty to work with. But until Atlanta gets clarity at quarterback, the Super Bowl path remains uncertain.

Drafting Zachariah Branch in the third round gives this team a completely different dynamic.

The kid is an absolute 4.35 guy, blazing through his 40-yard dash at the combine and proving his elite, game-breaking speed is the real deal.

With over 75% of his college snaps coming out of the slot and an insane ability to generate yards after the catch, he is a cheat code for a creative offensive coordinator.

Tua Tagovailoa is already out here drawing comparisons to Jaylen Waddle during OTAs, and it's easy to see why.

Alongside Drake London, Branch’s dynamic, take-the-top-off speed is going to be massive for the Falcons next season.

Whether he's stretching the field, catching screens, or turning a simple return into a house call.

Atlanta has been busy securing key pieces of its core, recently signing star wide receiver Drake London to a massive four-year extension.

The Falcons are also reportedly engaged in discussions with running back Bijan Robinson regarding a new deal, leaving Pitts as another major contract decision for the organization.

With a relatively new coaching staff and front office in place, Atlanta may prefer to evaluate his role in the offense before making a long-term financial commitment.
