The parts of being in a fight camp I never want to forget and seldom hear being talked about:
š It is A LOT like being a caterpillar, you go into a cocoon where everything inside of you is absolutely broken down, essentially turning you into soup. I am 2 weeks out from the show and can feel parts of me shifting, old beliefs falling away, and something new being born out of this change. Regardless of if I win or lose, I have won because I dared to be a part of the 1% of females of challenge their mental and physical abilities to do this scary as f**k sport.
š«Regardless of what your edge is, when you stop hiding and live full out, you will inspire some, trigger some, and challenge some. Regardless of others, the only thing that matters is how you feel about yourself, when you are by yourself.
š„ F**k your feelings. Thatās what I have been telling myself this entire camp. You donāt āfeelā like training for another hour? Two hours? Another 3 minute round? F**k. Your. Feelings. Confidence comes not from the win but from creating a plan, remaining in integrity, and following through. I no longer give myself passes on the basis of āenergeticsā and how I am feeling, I honor my commitments and my word to myself and others and that has been rewarding above all else.
š¤ I am excited to fight, and I am excited to have more room to be creative and create more content when this is all over. So far now, here are some photos from my camp thus far, and I will be back more when Iām on the other side of it all.
Sending big love to you, big gratitude, and hope that youāve been thriving, too.
