Let’s talk about REST, RECOVERY & STRESS MANAGEMENT 🧘♀️
It’s funny how things work out how they are supposed to and happen when they do.
I just completed my Sleep, Stress Management & Recovery certification and mannnnn, little did I know this was much needed for ME & my family, as much as it was for my clients!
I KNOW how important it is to take care of all aspects of your health BUT personally I was neglecting certain things (recovery and stress management in particular 🤪 hello boy mom here 🫣)
I was talking to someone about my oldest son being GO GO GO with golf, soccer, basketball and I had an “ohhhhh yeahhh” moment, they told me I NEED TO MODEL rest and recovery and how important it is for him!
DUHHH, this kid sees me and his daddy going one million miles an hour, all day every day and probably thinks he HAS to go go go as well and rest is bad. Sure enough when we asked him, he said “I feel like resting is bad” 🤯 eeekkkk well the good news here is I am going to pay even more attention to making sure my kids not only see me work, working out hard, but also REST, RECOVER & take care of my mental self too! It’s all so important and you can’t feel great without both so if you are still hear reading my mini TED talk 🤣 this is your reminder to pay attention to what your body is trying to tell you whether it needs some more rest or is craving some activity that may be something as simple as playing soccer with your kids one day and doing a weights workout class the next, BUT the key here is to LISTEN to your body and respect what it’s trying to tell you! If not learn from me, it will force your b***y to slow down one way or another 😂🤦🏼♀️🤪
