Sorella Cycling USA Cycling’s Womens Bike Club of the Year - Atlanta, GA and beyond

Sorella Cycling's mission is to foster a supportive and open environment for women of all ages and abilities to ride their bicycles for fitness, recreation and racing. Our founding members are a group of talented women, both on and off our bicycles, who want to support and promote community in a women's cycling club (based in Atlanta, Georgia). Our veteran riders and racers conduct women's cycling

clinics including skills, safety, and maintenance and provide mentoring to our members. Members participate in several weekly group rides, frequent road and mountain bike races, and community service events.

Last Saturday, these four Sorellas rolled out on what would prove to be a very challenging albeit beautiful ride in Walhalla, SC for the Holler in Walhalla!

Veronica would conquer the “baby” holler in at first place🥇. Kathleen and Katie would vanquish the 51 mile Little Holler - Katie came in first in her AG🥇and🥈overall and Kathleen came in🥈once her time segments uploaded. And finally, Karin H. gave a “stern talking to” the 63 mile Big Holler! 😤 They came, they climbed, and they survived! 💪

Last weekend, Kathryn A. rode in the Gravel Worlds 150 Race. 🚵‍♀️ She also finished the double with a 50k run. 🏃‍♀️

She ran into a fellow Atlantan who spotted Kathryn because of our very visible and fun kits! 🌺 Ironically, they were the only two females that went for the double. What are the odds of a race in Lincoln, Nebraska with the only two women who went for the double were from Atlanta? 💃💪💃💪

Dr. Joel Eaby at Mission Move met with Veronica for her post-surgery bike re-fit. Eight months later, but she still needed a few tweaks to dial in her perfect fit. As all cyclists are aware, a good bike fit can make a world of difference in your ride. 🚴‍♀️

Dr. Eaby was wonderful at listening to Vern’s specific needs, taking his time and answering some great post surgery care questions and concerns.👂🏼

Sorella’s Jennifer, Barbara and Karin kindly allow non-Sorella Lynn to join our Heat Adaptation ride in Helen last Saturday! 😂🥵What a route! Much fun and many laughs were had. ✨

Liz, Linda, Christine, Simone, Katie, Valerie, and Darcy had a super fun Sorella camping weekend in Dupont riding bikes and playing in waterfalls! They got lucky with the weather and only had storms for a couple of hours.🚵‍♀️

On Saturday's ride, they rode to Bridal Veil Falls and took a break to play in the waterfall. They walked to the top where they filmed a scene from the film “The Last of the Mohicans.” (Check out the video in Stories.)🌱

On Sunday, they rode to Grassy Creek Falls, the famous (and fun!) Ridgeline trail, and ended with a much needed swim at Ho**er Falls.🌊

They had an absolutely incredible weekend!💫

Katie, Saskia and Lea went on a grand cycling adventure in Montana! ⛰️

They had originally set out to do The Last Best Ride in Whitefish, but the event was cancelled due to permit issues. They ended up doing a cycling vacation instead. As you can see, many beautiful rides were had!🍃
