Two years ago, I started my basketball training business with little to no coaching experience at the time, relying solely on my personal experience as a player. During that time, I encountered the many highs and lows of running your own business as well learning how to be a trainer through trial and error. Two years later, I’ve trained players of all skill levels from NBA draft prospects to 6th graders aiming to make their middle school teams. I’ve been blessed to work with the Atlanta Dream (WNBA) & the College Park Skyhawks (NBA G-League) and understand how those players practice so I can pass that knowledge down to all of my players. When I look over the journey I’ve been on so far, I’ve constantly had to reinvent myself to be in gyms and places with people that I would’ve never imagined I’d be able to work with. My goal for every player I train is to be able to reinvent themselves as well and constantly find ways to get better and although it is a challenge, it’s one that Walker Elite Skills Academy was built for!
