thirty actually day 7: letting go of yoga classes ✨
in yoga, we are called to pay attention to our bodies, minds, how we feel, how we react. and yall, i was burnt out. the last thing i wanted to do was give up any classes, ive gotten so close with you guys, love 🥰 flowing with yall & creating a safe space!
this is a moment where i have to set my ego and pride to the side and accept that another instructor will come in and now you’ll be “their” student (not that you “belong” to anyone). i have to give up that entitlement cause yall, im TIRED.
on top of that, it’s not secret that yoga is not the most lucrative passion. but, when i started clinging to my classes to get me through another week, i knew it was time to let something go.
years and years ago, i was a small group leader at church. i’d never gotten paid for that in my previous church so i was excited when i realized it came with a lil sumn sumn. eventually, i started to feel the burnout of having an obligation EVERY week. it’s like clocking in to a 9-5, every day of the week. i realized at one point that i was so tired but i was waking up on sundays bc i knew it would supplement my income. i stepped down.
if my heart posture isnt in the right place, im not where i need to be.
i hope you take time to evaluate your situations 🩷 for me, taking a step back in this busy time period (my life has been busy since 18 lol) is what’s right for me.
two more weeks of tuesday night flow 7:15🧘🏾♀️
