Your weakness isn’t disqualifying you. It’s the very place His power shows up.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)

I once coached a CEO who did not believe in giving heart. He thought it was too touchy-feely.

We ran an exercise with his seven C-suite members. He shared a story from his past that had shaped his leadership. The story itself was fantastic.

The way he told it was robotic.

One C-suite member said, "You sound like a reporter telling the evening news."

He looked at me and said, "Okay — let me tell it differently."

He upped his emotional expression. He peppered in a few honest words about what it cost him, what it taught him, what he loved about it. He opened his heart a little more so the room could feel the story, not just hear it.

When the team gave feedback, every one of them said a version of the same thing. Another C-suite member — someone who had openly struggled with sharing his own heart — put it best:
"The first story was boring. The second one was motivational. I felt your quest to win, and now I want to do the same."

Compliance follows directives. Followership follows a heart on the record.

"I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you." (John 15:15, ESV)

That is the leadership God's love forms — truth and heart, on the record, in the room.

Today's Daily CHEW: They Nodded. They Complied. They Didn't Follow.

The hardest seasons of leadership aren’t wasted—they’re forming you.

“…we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” Romans 5:3–5

High‑capacity leaders carry pressure others never see. Hard calls, criticism, setbacks, long stretches with no relief. Paul doesn’t tell us to enjoy the pain—he shows us where God can take it: endurance, character, durable hope.

But the foundation isn’t our grit. It’s God’s love already poured into us. We lead through hard seasons not by sheer willpower, but anchored in being deeply loved.

Father, thank You that Your love is poured into our hearts by Your Spirit. Use the pressures we carry to grow endurance, character, and hope. Anchor our leadership in how deeply You love us.

It is 6:47 p.m. The laptop is closed. Your mind is not.

You are home, but you are not. Your spouse is talking and you are nodding without hearing.

Most Christian high performers end the workday in one of two ways: collapse and try not to think about work, or stay mentally at their desk long after they have left it. Both leave the heart scattered. You sleep. You do not really rest.

Cal Newport calls it a "shutdown ritual." Productivity culture calls it a "daily reset." Both are wise — but both quietly assume you are the one who must contain the day.

"In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety." (Psalm 4:8, ESV)

The reset is not what makes you safe. It is how you acknowledge the One whose love already does.

Today's Daily CHEW gives you a 15-minute end-of-day rhythm built for loved leaders, not hustlers: tomorrow's three priorities, three things God actually did, one honest hand-off, one trust adjustment, close the laptop.

The ritual does not keep you. God does.

When spiritual attack feels personal, remember Who lives in you first

“Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”
1 John 4:4 ESV

High-capacity leaders often feel targeted in quiet ways: accusation, anxiety, shame that shows up after hard decisions. Yet God’s love names a deeper reality. His own Spirit lives in us, not as a guest but as the One who guards our hearts and callings.

Spiritual warfare is real, but it is never a fair fight. The greater One has already claimed the final word over your story, your team, and your future in Christ.

Father, thank You that Your Spirit in us is greater than anything set against us. Teach us to lead from safety in Your love instead of from fear, pressure, or shame.

Sunday night, before the new week loaded, I scrolled back through last week's calendar and asked one question:
If a stranger only had this calendar to go on, what would they say I love?

It was the most honest review of my week I have done in months.

A senior leader's calendar is one of the most truthful documents in their life. Mission statements lie. Vision boards lie. Calendars do not.

And underneath an over-packed week is usually a quieter belief: that one more shipped item, one more meeting, one more visible win is still needed to secure something.

"So then, neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth." (1 Corinthians 3:7, ESV)

The calendar can deliver outputs. Only God's love can deliver worth.

When you stop defending what He has already settled, the week stops looking like a list of proofs and starts looking like an act of love.

Today's Daily CHEW walks you through a five-minute calendar audit.

A calendar cannot earn what God's love already gave. A Tuesday reflection from The Daily CHEW™ for leaders whose worth rises and falls with one conversation.

Your results can swing wildly. Your standing with God cannot.

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? … For I am sure that neither death nor life … nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:35, 38–39

High‑capacity leaders quietly tie their worth to outcomes. Win the deal, hit the number, keep the team intact—or feel like we’ve slipped. But Paul lists the worst‑case scenarios and says not one of them can cut us off from Christ’s love.

That changes how we lead. We can take risks, own failures, and make hard calls from security, not fear. Our identity isn’t riding on this quarter; it’s anchored in a love nothing can break.

Father, thank You that nothing can separate us from Your love in Christ. When pressure ties our worth to results, re‑anchor us in You. Free us to lead from security, not fear, today.

There is a sentence most Christian high performers would never say out loud, but quietly carry into every Monday:
"If I were really called and loved by God, I would be further along by now."

That is not a calling problem. It is a misread of how God's love forms a master craftsman.

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand." (Ephesians 2:10, ESV)

God is not scrambling to keep up with your career. He prepared the work. He is also forming the craftsman — at the pace your soul can carry. Slowly. Deliberately. Mostly in moves no one will ever see you make.

The 1% you sharpen today that no peer will notice is not invisible to God. It is the work that lasts.
That is what loved leaders do differently than hustlers: they steward the unseen.

There was a love before the first calendar.

Before any Believer took a breath, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit delighted in one another with a joy that never began and will never end.

That love did not start when you believed. It will not stop when you stumble.

"Father… you loved me before the foundation of the world." (John 17:24, ESV)

God's love is not a reaction to anything in us. It is who He is. The triune God has never been lonely, never been needy, never been unsure of His own heart.

His mercies are new every morning because His love is older than every morning.

His love had no first day and will have no last.

Today's Sabbath CHEW is a 90-second worship encounter with that love. The Walk is one sentence, repeated for sixty seconds, in His presence.

Leading while feeling “on probation” will quietly hollow you out.

“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
Romans 8:1

Many high‑capacity leaders live like God’s verdict is always pending, as if one bad decision could finally tip Him into disappointment. But in Christ, God’s love has already spoken a present‑tense verdict: no condemnation now, before your next win or failure.

That frees us to lead without the low‑grade shame that makes us defensive, controlling, or image‑driven. We can own mistakes, repent quickly, and make hard calls, knowing our identity is anchored in what Jesus has done, not in how today’s outcomes land.

Father, thank You that in Christ there is no condemnation over us as leaders. Help us lead from secure hearts, quick to repent and slow to defend ourselves, and let our decisions today flow out of the freedom Your steadfast love has given us.
