What a weekend at the Magic City RYC/RJCC + Y8 in Hoover, AL! ⚔️

This weekend, 10 of our fencers and their families traveled to Birmingham, AL, representing AFCF.

Our team showed incredible grit, focus, and determination, pushing through and giving it their all. From amazing comebacks (we saw quite a few!) to fighting for every point earned, we couldn’t be prouder.

And a big **congratulations on 7 medals brought home**! 💪🥇

A huge thank-you to our coaches and parents for your dedication and support — you make all of this possible. 💙

We are so proud of our AFCF fencers for their dedication, teamwork, and hard work at the Peachtree RYC/RJCC! ⚔️

For many, it was their first regional, and for others, the first of the season. Our athletes showed incredible focus, sportsmanship, and commitment throughout the day.

Having a regional at the start of the season in Atlanta was a unique opportunity for our fencers to experience a competitive setting and work closely with our amazing coaches. Their guidance and expertise at the tournament will help our athletes continue to grow and improve at practice.

A huge shoutout to our coaches for supporting every athlete every step of the way! We can’t wait to see what the rest of the season—and beyond—holds for our fencers! ✨

Your participation and enthusiasm made this inaugural March Madness tournament truly special!

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible coaches for their dedication and expertise, which helped bring this event to life. We also appreciate our amazing volunteers and fencing parents for their support in setting up and making everything run smoothly.

A special shoutout to Maurice Hayes of Moement Photography for capturing the spirit of the day so beautifully. We were also honored by the visit of civil rights activist Dr. Walter Young, the namesake of our venue and one of our practice locations, the Andrew and Walter Young Family YMCA.

Congratulations to all our medalists! 🏅 We’re already looking forward to hosting another fantastic tournament in May—stay tuned for more details.

✨ What a Weekend at the SJCC Junior, Cadet, and Parafencing NAC!

This weekend, we had the privilege of hosting a demonstration at the SJCC Junior, Cadet, and Parafencing NAC.

One of the highlights? Sharing our love of fencing with a local Girl Scout troop! 🌟

Watching their excitement as they picked up the basics was truly inspiring. We hope we sparked a new love for fencing and see some of these young athletes on the strip in the future! 🗡️✨
