McMinn West Lady Kee’s Defeats SJHS Lady Cats In Pitcher's Duel

Both teams were strong in the circle on Thursday, but McMinn West Lady Kee’s defeated SJHS Lady Cats 3-1. Anna W started the game for McMinn West Lady Kee’s and recorded 15 outs.

McMinn West Lady Kee’s got on the board in the first inning after a steal of home scored one run.

McMinn West Lady Kee’s added one run in the second after Mena H singled to right field.

McMinn West Lady Kee’s added one run in the third. Kently F grounded out, making the score 3-1.

Anna earned the win for McMinn West Lady Kee’s. The starting pitcher allowed five hits and one run over five innings, striking out two and walking two. Claire H took the loss for SJHS Lady Cats. The starter went two innings, allowing two runs on four hits, striking out four and walking three. Kylli M tossed one inning of zero-run ball for McMinn West Lady Kee’s in relief. The pitcher surrendered one hit, striking out none and walking one.

Katie C went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Sienna P went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead SJHS Lady Cats in hits. SJHS Lady Cats were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Katie made the most plays with six.
