Current AOSO Weather Updates:
• Saturday evening youth & adult at Walter Fieldhouse: On as-planned
• Sunday women's/inclusive at the community center is cancelled.

Please do not travel this evening unless you feel comfortable doing so. There is likely to be a small amount of snow already down by 9:30pm when we are leaving.

We are monitoring any further changes, and any decision from OU/CampusRec to close the facility (or, less likely before 10pm, a Level 3 snow emergency) would of course mean we'd postpone. So far, neither of those things seem very likely.

BE SAFE and watch out for each other!

Walter Fieldhouse Futsal 2026 is just around the corner!!

12-week session:
January: 3, 10, 17, 24, 31
February: 7, 14, 21, 28
March: 7, 14, 21

Youth Futsal will be starting this Saturday, January 3rd from 6:30 to 7:30 at Ohio University's Walter Fieldhouse.

Players aged 3rd through 6th grade will be playing on the near half of the field, while players 7th through 10th grade will be on the far side. Volunteers will be stationed throughout to ensure everything runs smoothly. Don’t hesitate to ask if you have questions.

Also, remember to send your player(s) with appropriate footwear (Cleats, sneakers, or turf cleats) and a water bottle.

Youth Details
- Signups are per-player
- Ages: 3rd grade to 10th grade
- Matches: Saturdays, 6:30–7:30 PM

Adult Details
- Signups are per team (of 7+ players)
- Each player must fill out a digital waiver for this year
- Games are 7v7+, depending on field sizes.
- Recommend having 9–12 players on each team.
- Matches: Saturdays, 7:30–9:30 PM

AOSO Is Looking for a Board Member!

As AOSO continues to champion the growth of soccer programs and facilities in Athens and its surroundings, we are looking for dedicated individuals to join our board. This winter, we have at least one board member concluding their tenure, paving the way for new voices and perspectives.

- Applications are due no later than January 31st, 2026.
- On February 5th, 2026, the board will convene to make its selections.
- All new board roles will be effective from March 1st, 2026.

First ever AOSO potluck!! We'll do another one in the Spring for sure, it was amazing! Huge thanks to Brenen's Coffee Cafe and Kiser's Barbeque for providing food and for the dozens of folks who brought food and snacks! It was a really really good time, thanks so much to EVERYONE!
