It breaks my heart to say this. I have accepted a new job and won't be working at Ramsey anymore. I was given the opportunity take my dream job working on environmental politics and policy and I couldn't pass it up.
I have loved coaching you guys, and am so proud of each and every one of you for coming to spend your mornings with me.
I'm so sorry that we won't be able to get through those grueling workouts together, but I know that Erin and Rachel are going to bring fantastic energy and ideas to you all.

Another rainy day in Athens, another class to test! Forecast looks bad for the next few days so I wanted to share this one with you to try on your own! (Also remember summer group fitness classes start this Monday!!)
_12 minutes warm up (throw in a hill)
_Three times through this:
-----3 minutes at the max yellow zone
-----1 minute high blue
_Then four minutes of rest, and repeat your set of three
_Four more minutes rest, one final set of three
**MESSAGE ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS**

Here's my power profile for the workout:
Warmup 140 Watts
Three minute intervals 230-260 Watts
One and four minute rests at 60 Watts

I've been training on both the road and trails this summer with an amazing group of people who push me harder and faster than ever before. On the last day of class I asked my team what they felt like they had accomplished in spin this year- what made them proud. Here's some of what they said:
"I showed up and worked hard in every class"
"I finally doubled my body weight in Watts"
"I realized I could push myself harder than I ever thought before"
"I'm not a morning person and I've never been able to go to the gym in the morning until this year. I found the motivation to become a regular in this class"
"I've lost 14 pounds this semester by making the commitment to attend this and other classes regularly"

I am so proud of everyone for working so hard this semester. We trained before the sun even got out of bed and saw big fitness results. Personally, I'm proud of myself for finally teaching MY class- not an imitation of anyone else. My style is my own, and together we discovered that it could be both hard and fun. Did I go deep and feel like puking? Absolutely. But did I come to class every day excited to train with my team, to not only teach but also to learn from y'all? 100% YES

I can't say thank you enough to my wonderful crew of dedicated morning spin stars! Here's my face moments after waking up from a real rough night where a sinus infection seriously set in and a low fever kept me awake until after 3 AM. Notice that I look pretty happy- and it's thanks to the overwhelming support I got from you all when I had to cancel class so I could rest. Woke up to nothing but get well wishes. THANK YOU ALL❤️
It's an important lesson we all can learn about taking care of yourself first when it matters most.
IN OTHER NEWS I still have two days worth of Skratch prizes and would love to offer a bonus spin class on Friday morning if anyone is interested. Vote in the poll and if I get enough enthusiasm I'll teach Friday morning for y'all!!🚴🏼‍♀️🚴🏽‍♂️💪🏼

Y'all I know that finals are coming up and we all need to fuel up for the fight!
Thanks to I've got just what we need to do face down this last week of school- distributed as prizes in class on Monday and Wednesday this week! See you then!

You showed up and put in the work every week. You showed up and put up with your crazy coach and her Disney before dawn. There were a lot of mornings that you didn't want to but you came here to prove to yourself that you CAN.
The effort shows. FTP Testing this morning and y'all CRUSHED IT💪🏼❤️. Numbers are way up, which means that the training is effective and fitness is increasing! I'm so proud of everyone 😭😭😍😍 I love you all for sticking it out with me
