The current team had a busy Saturday! They attended and competed in the Midwest Championship Erg Sprints hosted by OSU Crew. The team placed 6th, 7th, 9th, and 10th in the women’s open relay. They also placed 7th in the men’s open relay.

The team also picked up the women’s 4+ shell the “For Becca” after it was repaired. Thanks to Ann Arbor Rowing Club (AARC) for the repairs snd transportation. Thank you also to OSU Crew for transporting it back to Columbus. She looks good as new!

Unfortunately the team did have to take apart the women’s 8+, the Vinny. It sustained damage at Speakmon and could not be repaired. Keep an eye out for a future fundraising event and alumni event later this spring.

The team did purchase a new shell this past winter! It is Resolute Defender Midweight 8+! The team is excited about its latest purchase and can’t wait to row it on Strouds.

We’re excited to share that the story published celebrating the Ohio University Crew Team’s 30th anniversary is officially live! It highlights the people, memories, and moments that have shaped the program over the years, and it truly wouldn’t have come together without our alumni.

A huge thank you to everyone who shared stories, memories, quotes, and photos for this project. You helped capture what makes Ohio Crew so special, and we’re incredibly grateful you took the time to be part of it.

As you know, the Ohio University Crew Team is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, and OU’s PR department is putting together a special write-up to honor the team’s history, impact, and the people who built it.

To help make this as meaningful and accurate as possible, we’re asking alumni to take a few minutes to complete the Google Form linked below.
