🗣 IT’S HAPPENING!!!

Thanks you all who have helped support our renovation project with St. Mary’s Hospital began several weeks ago and we couldn’t be more thrilled to share what is going on…

The following list is underway to remodel and refresh the long vacant “Sisters House” next to the St Mary’s Hospice Center so that families of patients will be able to use it during the most difficult of times. We hope this house will bring these guests a sense of peace and hope to inspire many generations to come with Ben’s story.

Front bedroom (old garage) will be equipped with a new mini split unit to improve the overall conditioning of the space. New vinyl flooring, blinds, and painting.

Kitchen will have all countertops replaced and cabinets painted/ hardware replaced, flooring and can lighting/ lighting updated. The opening to the living room will be enlarged.

Living Room/ Dining Room will have all flooring replaced to vinyl wood look, blinds replaced, repainted, lighting change and fans replaced.

Bedrooms – Master to have wall opened to investigate termite damage and repair as needed. Replace flooring, door hardware and repaint. New lighting fixtures and ceiling fan.

Bathrooms – Repaint all wall/ trim and install new vinyl wood look flooring once the tile floor is removed. Replace vanity, countertop, toilet to ADA, mirror, exhaust fan and light fixture. The bathroom with tub will be re-glazed.

All receptacles in the house will be replaced to tamper resistance for children safety. All GFI's will be replaced due to age of the house.

Flooring – all vinyl will be replaced to a 12-mil vinyl which will allow for easy cleaning and sanitation.

Appliances – Refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher and washer/ dryer

Fixtures- all lighting and plumbing fixtures to be replaced

The house will be decorated with Ben’s art and a bronze plaque about him and this mission shall be placed on the house in hopes of others being inspired to pay it forward & to

Once the all the above is completed, the house will be totally refreshed and presentable for families to enjoy. We look forward to the next update!
