It's TODAYYYYY!!!
Q***r hike incoming!
When: Saturday, September 13 @ 3pm
Location: Watson Mill Bridge State Park, 650 Watson Mill, Comer, GA 30629
Cost: Free! Except for parking.
Parking: $5/vehicle. Park in one of the parking lots near the bathrooms, playground, and pavilion. Look for the yellow circles on the map. You can park at one of the other lots, you'll just have to walk up the hill to get to us.
Bathrooms: Yes! They're clean and have soap!
The Hike: Beaver Creek Trail, 1.7 miles. Follows Beaver Creek through the forest and is completely shaded. You may want bug spray. You can see the trail in pink on the map.
Challenge Level: It's a pretty easy hike, but there are lots of roots to watch for. There is some elevation change so expect a bit of a climb.
Kids: Very kid-friendly. There's a playground at the parking lot where we're meeting up and after the hike, they can play in the river.
Strollers/bikes: Nope, this is not a hike for wheels.
Dogs: Welcome, on leashes.
I (Becca) will be waiting for you with my pride flag at the trailhead parking lot, just across the road from the playground/bathrooms/pavilion. Look for the purple "meet up here" circle on the map. Share widely, invite your friends, message me with questions, and see you soon!
