We’d like to welcome two new guys to the Ohio University Cheer Team!
Tanner Southern and Jase Clark have been working with us at practices for the last couple of weeks. We’ve been integrating them into partner stunts, pyramids, and basket tosses.
Both men are quick learners. They’ve done a great job and have a tremendous amount of potential. Tonight they qualified for team placement through our tryout process.
Tanner is a freshman who attended Gahanna-Lincoln High School and is majoring in Actuarial Science.
Jase is a freshman who comes to us from Pickerington North High School. Jase’s major is in Accounting.
The next couple of weeks will involve a more intense orientation as we get the entire team game day ready for the home opener. You’ll see us on the sidelines on Saturday, September 12th. Peden Stadium. Frank Solich Field. Your Ohio Bobcats vs Jacksonville State. Be there!!

P.S. A “Bobkitten” is our affectionate nickname for any first year cheer team member. It can be male or female. It’s a term of endearment and not derogatory in any way. You slowly transition to full Bobcat status through lots of hard work, being coachable, learning new things, being a team player, and always pushing yourself to be your personal best.
