Discover, Learn and Play! This introductory level allows new skaters with no prior skating experience to build confidence while learning to skate.

Boys and girls with little or no prior skating experience.
Each new skaters will receive head-to-toe equipment to keep! ($600 value)
Skills emphasized at this level:
Balance
Forward Skating
Backwards Skating
Stopping
This introductory class allows new skaters with little or no prior skating experience to build confidence while learning to skate. This first stage teaches the fundamentals of ice skating and provides the best foundation for hockey. Skaters will be introduced to forward and backward skating and stops. Fun and games make this experience for your kids positive, enjoyable and memorable.

Coach Morgan from the AYHA 14U team is hosting a fun and energetic Dry Land Skills Session for players of all ages!

This is a great opportunity to get back into hockey shape, improve your off-ice skills, build confidence, and have fun with teammates before the season begins. Whether you’re new to hockey or returning for another season, everyone is welcome!

Come ready to work hard, have fun, and kick off the season the right way. We can’t wait to see everyone there!

If you have played for AYHA, against AYHA, or LUG at Bird Arena in the last 10 plus years, it is likely you have had the person we call Jeff the Bearded Ref as a referee. He has been involved with refereeing youth hockey for at least 10 years and has helped mentor young referees for years as well. Unfortunately, he was in a motorcycle accident on July 13th and is looking at a long recovery. A gofundme has been set up by a close friend of his. The link to that fundraiser is below.
