We opened Athens Skate Inn nearly 14 years ago, not knowing how it would affect our lives and the lives of others. We made friendships that will last a lifetime. Arms, legs and hearts were broken, and new and true love was found. Athens Skate Inn was there for the community and the community welcomed us. The rink was more than a building, the staff was more than employees. We were family surrounded by friends. I’ve given up on ever opening another rink, so if you are ever passing through Bogart, stop at Papa’s Woodworking and say hello.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! We’d like to wish everyone a very safe, happy and Merry Christmas.
The rink is gone, the business is gone, but for thirteen years we were blessed to have made so many friends, reunite with old friends. Got to see our kids fall in love there, marry and now we are Maw Maw and Papa to one Grandson, and three Granddaughters. Over the years we have met so many rink kids, moms, dads and grandparents that we love as our own family. Please be safe, be happy, be kind, make good decisions and love one another.

Good morning, I hope everyone is doing great!
I have been watching videos posted on social media regular skating still doing their thing, venturing out to other rinks and skating. Rollerskating is a great activity and the best way to make new friends and stay healthy, physically and mentally. We miss our rink kids and families, but we’ve bumped into several here and there.
