Athens Ohio Roller Derby (AORD) is a skater owned and operated amateur non-profit organization comprised of women+ from Athens, Ohio and the surrounding region in the form of an amateur roller derby league following the rules and ethics set forth by the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). AORD consists of two teams, The Appalachian Hell Betties and The Black Diamond Betties. We are a gra

THANK YOU to all The World skaters, the officials, our volunteers, our sponsors, and every person that came to support us at our last home bouts of the season yesterday! It was a day full up with sweat and laughter, and reminded us all why we love derby so much ❤️🖤

💥 First Bout: Appalachian Hell Betties fought hard to beat The World (193-135)

💥 Second Bout: To make sure our Black Diamond Betties played in their last bout our AHB skaters came together with our BDB skaters for a red (flames) vs black (coal) showdown scrimmage.

This Saturday August 15th are our last home bouts of the season, and we’re proud to share that a portion of proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the DSACO: Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio 💙

The Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio supports individuals with Down syndrome and their families through education, advocacy, resources, community programs, and connections.

We hope you’ll join us for our final home bouts of the season and help us support an organization doing important work.
