Mission
The mission of the Athens Community Arts, Parks, and Recreation department is to provide Athens and area residents comprehensive programs, activities, and facilities that encourage health, fitness, and cultural, recreational, educational, and social opportunities in our community. The purpose of this site is to present matters of public interest to City of Athens residents, businesses, vis

itors and other interested parties. You may submit your comments, but please note this is a moderated online discussion site and not a public forum. Once posted, the City reserves the right to delete submissions that contain vulgar language; personal attacks of any kind, or offensive comments that target or disparage any ethnic, racial, or religious group. Further, the City also reserves the right to delete the following comments:
1.Contain spam, advertising or include links to other sites
2.Clearly off topic, and/or disruptive
3.Advocate illegal activity
4.Promote particular services, products, or political organizations
5.Infringe on copyrights or trademarks
6.Violate any City of Athens Policies

Here are the hours for the Athens City Pool this week:

Monday - Friday: Closed
Saturday: noon-7 pm
Sunday: Noon - 6 pm
Monday (Labor Day): Noon - 6pm

This weekend all items in the concession stand will be $1!

We’re excited to welcome our littlest friends back to Wee Wigglers starting THIS FRIDAY, September 4th! 🎉

Join us for a fun-filled hour of play, movement, music, and exploring with your little one! Perfect for ages 18 months–5 years.

The holiday season is just around the corner, and it’s the perfect time to clean out some of your extra things and make a little extra money for the season!

Bring your gently used items to sell and turn your clutter into cash. And don’t forget about the kids!

KIDS’ MARKET

Kids are invited to set up their own spot to sell their handmade crafts, creations, and goods. It’s a fun opportunity for kids to practice their entrepreneurial skills, share their creativity, and make a little extra spending money.

Spots are limited, so be sure to reserve yours early!
