Last but not least, our beloved President, Amari Thompson.

Amari is the heartbeat of our team and has been integral in the development of our club. As President of the club for the last 2 years and vice president prior, Amari has led by example on and off the pitch, managing everything behind the scenes and being an unstoppable force in-game. Every opportunity our players have had within the club wouldn’t have been possible without Amari’s leadership and devotion to the sport.

After nearly a decade of being around the game, Amari has played almost every position but has excelled as a flanker on the field. She’s racked up the accolades being selected as a team captain in 2024 and selected as ’s student leader of the month in March 2024.

From Cleveland Ohio, graduating with a degree in Political Science and minor in psychology, Amari will be moving to Columbus to be an Administrative Specialist at the Ohio University (Dublin Campus) heritage college of osteopathic medicine.

Amari, thank you for everything you’ve done for this club. You’ve forged the way for so many players to experience the sport and we couldn’t be more grateful. We wish you the best of luck after graduation and are so proud of you.

Coach Perry brought her great insight to Ohio 4 years ago.

Emma is a thoughtful and conscientious leader. Her dedication and commitment to the team throughout her four year tenure are palpable and if I say so myself… inspiring.

Emma knows exactly how to hype up the team after great games, bad games, and everything in between. Her love for the sport is absolutely contagious!

From Pittsburgh PA, Emma is graduating with a degree in Media Arts Production and minors in Film, Marketing and social media.

Thank you for everything, Emma! You are going to do great things, make wonderful art, and continue to inspire people for the rest of your life!

We’re spotlighting FERAL CAROL (Caroline Merritt) our resident goofball. Carol is a four year veteran of the team and has been passed around the forward pack but excels at lock.

Carol brings an infectiously goofy energy and personality to the team. She lights up any room she walks into and is so easy to gravitate towards. Shes got a big heart and makes sure nobody feels alone.

From Canton Ohio, Carol is graduating with a degree in Marketing and minor in communications.

We’re spotlighting Olivia Ohms, our killer ginger. Ohms is a 3 year staple of the program, beginning as a heat seeking missile, (flanker) and ending as a physical winger.

Though Ohms is a legacy rugger (her dad played for and her mom too!), she’s created her own legacy on this team, setting an example as to what relentless physicality and focus can translate to on the pitch.

Ohms is graduating with a degree in Bio Sciences (Pre-Professional) and a minor in psychology. We hope that she’ll be our doctor one day.

We’re spotlighting Tree Wendell, a creative force who made his mark in just one year with the program.

Tree brings great energy, and commitment to the team, making an impact both on and off the pitch from the moment he arrived.

Off the field, he’s been honing his craft in Media Production and film photography, after graduation, he’s headed to Los Angeles to take part in the Ohio in LA program, an exciting next step in his journey.

Tree is graduating with a degree in Media Arts Production.

We’re spotlighting Kinga Turoczi, a player who always has your back on and off the pitch. A three-year veteran of the program, Kinga’s leadership shines through her continued passion projects.

As our Alumni Chair, she has spearheaded the position and built our rugby Bobcat network from the ground up. Even now, she continues to plan our 50th Anniversary Reunion. Her passion for the team and its success always shows through the commitment she puts into the team.Β 

Whether you’re running by her side on the pitch or celebrating at a social event, Kinga’s charisma is infectious and she will always make you feel right at home.Β

We’re spotlighting Gwen Spaliatsos, a personality you’ll never forget. A four-year veteran of the program, Gwen has been a constant presence, helping shape the team both on and off the field.

As our social chair, she’s the one bringing people together, and making sure this team feels like more than just a roster. Known for her spicy and hilarious personality, Gwen keeps everyone on their toes while also being someone her teammates can always count on.

Beneath it all is a big heart that shows up in how she supports and cares for everyone around her.

On the field, she brings energy and edge, always ready to chase down a try or spark momentum for the squad, proudly wearing the #20 jersey as part of a meaningful family tradition.

Off the pitch, Brynn is one of our fundraising chairs, playing a role in supporting the team behind the scenes.
