Training spiritually as if we are training physically.

Wow this was a convicting read this morning. If we are truly in Christ we are called to be disciples and being disciples we are to be disciplined in all areas of our life.

I personally loved the relation to physical training- give HIM your ALL, everyday!

Do you agree with any of these?

The even bigger picture from a biblical standpoint is to make me lesser and Him greater. My husband Mark shared this message with the youth group last night and today I came across this.

Starting with making ourselves less and Christ all the more, then going into our own personal lives to make these changes.

Looking for a nutrient dense banana bread recipe? Super delicious, I hope you love it too! ☺️

🍌🍞

Ingredients
* 2 eggs
* 1/2 cup melted coconut oil or olive oil
* 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
* 1/4 cup milk or Greek yogurt
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 1 cup mashed ripe bananas about 2-3 medium bananas
* 1 3/4 cups white whole wheat flour or regular whole wheat flour or plain all purpose flour
* ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon optional
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* ½ teaspoon salt
* 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips or chopped walnuts, raisins, optional

Instructions
* Pre-heat oven to 325F. Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan and set aside.
* In a medium bowl, whisk the flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
* In a large bowl, beat eggs, oil, honey, milk and vanilla for 2 minutes. Stir in the bananas, flour mixture and chocolate chips (or any other add ins of choice.
* Pour batter into greased pan, sprinkle with some more cinnamon, raw sugar, or banana slices (optional) Bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes, slice and enjoy!

It’s a savory snack craving! Save this recipe for when you have yours:

Party Mix (GF/V) 💃🏽
4 cups rice chex
4 cups corn chex
4 cups Cheerios
1 cup raw peanuts
1/4 cup olive oil
6 Tbsp worcestershire
1 tsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp ~or more~ everything but the bagel seasoning (yum!)

Bake at 250 for 1 hour, turning every 10 minutes. Super simple. 👍🏼

How do I recover from DOMS? (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness)

You completed a tough leg workout 2 days ago and the soreness has increased... what should you do to recover?

1. Active Recovery- light, repetitive exercise on the area that is sore. Some examples include a light bike ride, slow walking on the treadmill, swimming, etc.

2. Muscle Massage- Apply pressure and massage the sore muscles for 30+ seconds at a time. Examples include foam rolling, tempering, massage therapy, etc.

3. Nutrition- Hydrate well and make sure to get electrolytes. Increase your protein intake, the free flowing amino acids are required to rebuild our micro-teared muscle tissue.

4. Sleep- Are you getting an adequate amount of good quality sleep? Aim for 8 hours of sleep to aid muscular recovery from the extra load.

Try implementing the many different ways to recover from your muscle soreness starting today.
