Cleanliness has been a non-negotiable at Pure since day one.
We opened in 2021, when we were still operating under a lot of the health and sanitation practices that came out of the pandemic. We took those practices seriously, and when the mandates went away, our standards didn’t. In fact, a lot of what became required during that time probably should have already been standard practice in shared workout spaces.
So, here’s a little peek at what happens behind the scenes at Pure.
After every class, all equipment is disinfected, the mirrors are cleaned top to bottom, and the floors are vacuumed and disinfected. Our showers, restrooms, cubbies, and lobby spaces are cleaned and reset throughout the day. Both studios are professionally cleaned every week, and our equipment gets a more thorough deep clean on a regular schedule.
We’re also pretty serious about those lavender towels you know and love. 😂 We’re intentional about how they’re washed and cared for, and we regularly test to make sure we aren’t seeing any unwanted bacterial growth.
And because this is Pure, cleaning the space isn’t only physical.
We regularly burn incense, sage, and Palo Santo as part of clearing and resetting the energy of the studios. You’ll find salt lamps and crystals throughout our spaces for the same reason. We want Pure to feel good when you walk through the door, and we’re intentional about what goes into creating that feeling.
We care deeply about the practice happening inside these walls, but we also care about the walls themselves, the air, the equipment you touch, the towel you put on your face, and the space you’re trusting us to take care of.
There’s a lot that happens between classes that you may never see, and that’s kind of the point. You should be able to walk in, settle in, and know that your space has been cleaned, cared for, and reset for you.
That’s been our standard since 2021. It’s not changing. 🤍
