60 YEARS AGO TODAY, THE ASTORIA-MEGLER BRIDGE OPENED

On August 27, 1966, the Astoria-Megler Bridge was formally dedicated, connecting Oregon and Washington across the mouth of the Columbia River.

Six decades later, the bridge remains an iconic part of our landscape. And, as you know, once a year, thousands of people get to experience it from a completely different perspective. On foot! That's what makes the Great Columbia Crossing so special.

Happy 60th, Astoria-Megler Bridge!
