ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – POSTSEASON
Wyatt Jacobson

What a season for Wyatt Jacobson. Wyatt capped off an incredible postseason by becoming the 2A State Champion in both the 1500m and 3000m for the second consecutive year.

Not only did Wyatt defend both state titles, he also rewrote the Knappa record books with new school records in each event:

3000m – 8:49.76
1500m – 4:03.41

Wyatt’s toughness, discipline, and consistency have made him one of the top distance runners in the state and one of the best to ever wear a Knappa uniform. Back-to-back state championships in two events is an incredible accomplishment, and setting school records while doing it makes this season truly historic.

Congratulations Wyatt on an unforgettable year and an outstanding career representing the Knappa Loggers!

Paul Thompson is our Athlete of the Week for Week 10 after an outstanding performance at the District Championships.

Paul captured the District Championship in the 400m, earning a 1st-place finish, and followed that with a 2nd-place finish in the 300m hurdles. He also played a key role on the 4x400m relay team, helping the squad earn 2nd place while breaking a 30-year-old school record with a time of 3:32.58.

The record-breaking relay team consisted of Kade Kinder, Orrin Jacobson, Wyatt Jacobson, and Paul Thompson, whose efforts etched their names into the school record books.

Paul's versatility, determination, and leadership were on full display at districts, making him a deserving choice for Week 10 Athlete of the Week. Congratulations, Paul, on an incredible championship performance and a historic achievement!
