Congrats To This Season’s Recipient Of The Finbarr O’Connor Award…Ethan Palmer Of Gettysburg!🏒💥
Ethan is a four-year member of the Gettysburg Ice Hockey team and starting goalie for three of those years. While polite to those who may encounter him in passing, Ethan carries himself with a quiet confidence, spreads humor and positivity throughout his team, and leads from his crease and on the bench. He currently serves as an Assistant Captain and the treasurer of the team, but long before he had an official title, Ethan was the first to support the managers and coaching staff, offer a hand or ride to those who need to practices and games, and is the first person to get his team in line when they disagree about a call on the ice or look to get into it with opponents.
Off of the ice, Ethan serves as Platoon Sargent for the Blue Ridge Battalion, the ROTC sector at Gettysburg College. He has managed to serve both his platoon and team and hold them to the highest standards over his time at Gettysburg, and is looked at with the utmost respect.
