Aspen Alpine Guides is a professional guide service, that has provided quality mountain guiding adventures year-round in Aspen Colorado since 1987. AAG is fully licensed and insured and operates under a USFS Priority Permit. Our adventures include guided summer and winter trips including hiking, rock climbing, mountaineering, snow-shoeing, cross country ski instruction and tours, backcountry skiin

g, out of bounds lift assisted skiing, mountain biking, backpacking, hut trips on the 10th Mountain Hut System, and High Altitude Training for runners and Cyclists. We specialize in creating custom backcountry adventures for individuals and groups of all abilities and sizes.

Spend two nights & three days learning about avalanche education in the ideal backcountry learning environment, the beautiful Frying Pan Valley.

WHAT’S INCLUDED:

+ $729 includes a loaner kit of Beacon, Shovel and Probe from Ortovox, course registration fees, field and course handbooks.

+ You will also receive gourmet meals prepared by Beyul’s resident chef featuring local & organic ingredients for the following meals: Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast & dinner, and Sunday breakfast. Participants are responsible for their own lunches and snacks for the duration of the course.

+ The Recreational Level I Course is a 3 day / 24 credit hour introduction to avalanche hazard management.

AAG has partnered up with Beyul Retreat at Diamond J Ranch up the Frying Pan Valley, and Ortovox, to offer the Recreational Level I Avalanche Courses in the ideal backcountry learning environment.

These two-night, three-day courses enable all participants to experience backcountry conditions while staying at Beyul Retreat at Diamond J Ranch, located in the heart of the Wilderness.

*Courses are limited to 6 participants - sign up soon!

“We absolutely loved climbing North Maroon with Nate and Anton! It was truly one of the most fun and exhilarating experiences I have ever had, and I felt like it was worth every penny. Despite the obvious dangers associated with climbing the Bells, I don't think anyone in our group ever felt like something could go wrong.
