BUST: Sticking your hands forward does not help you move your balance over your feet - if anything, we see people compensate by sticking their butt back up the hill.
Hand’s forward also results in a pole-plant too close to the ski tip, blocking your commitment to gravity.

We encourage you to hold your hands out comfortably to the side and just in front of torso, enabling an efficient and effective pole touch.

Bust: We encourage a stance as narrow as functionally possible. Here’s why!

When you ski in a wide-stance, you end up with almost all your balance on one ski and with each ski experiencing very different terrain. A functionally narrow stance allows you to finesse both edges, add some balance to the top ski, and ski the same terrain with both feet. It’s so much easier

We get excited about all of our camps, truly.
Sundance Mountain Resort is no exception.

The moment you step inside the Inn at Sundance, it feels as though you’ve wandered into another era—one where Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid might have pulled up a chair, ordered a whiskey, and traded stories after a long day on horseback. We may be leaving the horses behind, but we’ll be carving our own trails, trading dusty roads for snow-covered slopes and saddles for skis.
