Tonight April 4th is the night!

The herds have thinned, the tables have been re-felted, it's time for the First 9-Ball Tournament of the 2016 Billiards season.

-7:00PM Prompt Start Time
-At Aspen Billiards
-$20 entry fee, winner takes most (a tip is reserved for our gracious hosts at Aspen Billiards)
-The game is 9-Ball (WPA rule book)
-Round Robin format (everyone plays everyone in races to 3)
-Total games won over the evening designates winner

The Tournament is being held on the first Monday and Tuesday of every month. Beginning on the Monday at 7, promptly, we play till 9 where we wrap up the in progress matches and come back Tuesday at 7 to wrap it up if need be.

Due to the flood of festive folk in town for the holidays we are postponing this months tournament to the first Monday Tuesday of February. More information to come.

Tournament 4 held early this month was great. We had some seriously great players in this round, quite a high level of pool played out there. Congratulations to Ben for taking the sweep of matches, winning every one of his points.

It's on!

TOURNAMENT TWO IS SCHEDULED and now a Monthly tournament held at Aspen Billiards. (Though some rescheduling is necessary due to off season closure)

October 6 & 7. Start time 7p, sharp.

The game is 9-Ball, tournament rules; a revised rulebook will be posted as soon as possible. Due to the Double Elimination play structure and time constraints we have limited the number of possible participants. In the last tournament each match was played as a race to five and the final match a race to ten. Depending on the amount of participants who express interest we may change the first round to races to three to allowed for speedier play and more participants.

Entry fees are applied toward table fees and first, second, and third place winners.

It's a very friendly group with a broad range in experience. Many of us play together regularly, and we are looking forward to expanding the group with all skill levels.

Round 2 is coming up soon, and we would like to see what talents you can bring to the table this time. The provisional date for the tournament has been set for the 1st week of October on the 6th Tuesday and 7th Wednesday. Posters should be around town shortly.
