Sharing this because it's a must read! The nasty messages I get when I post a picture of a dead Buffalo, Deer, and/or Pheasants is unreal! Some messages are so bad that I can't repost for all the world to see just how crazy some people are. From name calling to people threatening my life because I hunt. Alot of angry people in the world!
We’ve had a lot of anti-hunters in the comments lately. Well, this one’s for you. Every time I post bears, mountain lions, or any other “cute” animal that would rip your face off in real life, the same thing happens. Angry reactions, name-calling, “sociopath” comments. Most of it isn’t even an argument, it’s just emotion with no thought behind it, so it’s easy to ignore. But every now and then, someone tries to make a logical case. And almost every single time I ask one simple question, “Are you vegan?” The answer is no, or they dodge it completely. What blows my mind is how often these same people then tell me they “buy their meat from the store,” as if that somehow removes death from the equation.
I honestly didn’t realize people were this disconnected from reality. And even typing this feels insulting to my own intelligence, but apparently it has to be said out loud, Meat doesn’t magically appear on a Styrofoam tray! Beef is cow. Pork is pig. Chicken, breaking news, is chicken. Something died so you could eat. The wild part is how many people genuinely believe that buying meat from a store means nothing had to die. That belief shows up in my comments constantly, and it’s truly mind-boggling. I’ll address more anti-hunter arguments over the next couple weeks, but this one is so common, and so detached from basic reality, that it deserved to be called out first.
