The food plot inspectors were out tonight. One knows the drill, the other is still in training. Things are lookin good for the fall!

98 days out from Pheasant opener. Get your group together, check calendars and lock in plans for this fall! We've only got a couple prime dates left!

Before long, it'll be dogs on the ground, birds in the air and another season in full swing!

Summer work is in full swing... retrieves, obedience, steadiness, and all the things that make a good gun dog!

Let’s see those dogs! Whether you’ve hunted over one of ours and have a memory, have a pup you’re counting down the days to hunt this fall, or have a couch supervisor at home, share a picture in the comments. Bonus points if your story starts with, “That bird is dead!”… but the dog somehow tracked it down 100 yards later. 😉

Northern Plains Outfitters is looking for a Full Time Guide/Dog Trainer to start in the next few weeks.

Summer Duties:
-Train dogs daily
-Clean kennels daily
-Help with General Maintenance around the lodges and the farm

Fall Duties:
-Guide Pheasant Hunts
-Guide Waterfowl Hunts
-Help with all daily activities during the hunting season which runs from October 1st and runs thru December 20th

What We Expect from You:
-Dog training knowledge
-Hunting knowledge
-Must have a driver's license
-The ability to follow directions and complete the task given the right way the first time
-You must be able to communicate with people.
-You need to be motivated to do your job and have the vision of what needs to be done and do it without being told over and over.

Wage depends upon experience. Lodging is provided. Meals will be provided during the hunting season only.

First day on the collar for one of our Clutch and Wh**ey pups. Tate retrieves like clutch, has some of her attitude and isn't scared of much. He may have gotten his short attention span from his dad, but he’s been a quick learner and has become a retrieving machine. It's fun to see bits and pieces of them in these pups. Will be exciting to watch him and his siblings along side their parents in the fall!

A Foggy start to the morning but things cleared and the fishing picked up once we got to our spots. A nice limit of fish for Cindy and Chris from Nebraska! Will give it a whirl again tomorrow!

Jake's new addition to the fleet. Better food plots, better habitat and better hunting for the upcoming seasons.

Come fall, no need to ask where Jake's at… you’ll find him in the combine! Wouldn’t be shocked to see it in school parking lot!

Feels like yesterday but it’s already almost April. Heres the boss and her retrieves. Her pups are 12 weeks now, starting to see little pieces of her in them already. Excited to see what they turn in to!

Thanks to Eric Bethune (3rd Trip with us) and Dan Follett for hunting with us the past few days! Both shot great Buffalo with their bows on a couple of epic stalks!
