It’s time we stand by our local staples in the city of Ashtabula. Covid had closed the doors on many businesses. Let’s not let that happen again. Bula Boxing Club is one of them along with owner James Holley and his partner Nikko Jackson...
There’s not a person in Ashtabula that hasn’t walked through the gym or known someone whose trained there. I’ve watched James and Nikko take the most unorthod
ox kid and make a champion out of them whether it was in the ring or out of the ring. Nikko has also set up “Hands up, Guns Down” Sundays to help keep the violence off the streets. Gives people a chance of all ages to come in and put on gloves free of charge to deal with things in a safe way. Also keeping kids and adults of the street with a positive setting and outreach. How many times have your gym fees been due when you’ve been out of work or just didn’t have enough and he’s said forget about it, you’ll get me back when you can. This gym is a community you’ll never find the same kind of person on the bag next to you we have kids aged 4- 18 that aren’t just there because they love to work out it’s because they love the man behind the pads and that’s James and Nikko. He’s given back to our communities youth, and keeping kids off the street. He’s taken kids that have nothing given them food but more importantly a safe haven that they could call home for a few hours a day. Also lets us escape mentally and talk to him like a therapist he’s more than a gym owner and a trainer he’s our friend and to some he’s become our family. Let’s keep this Gym alive and keep the doors open for our youth to have a safe haven. Let’s show our youth there is a place to go when needed. Let’s give our youth a positive future off the streets and something to look forwards to
Even if it’s $1, it helps keep the doors of this establishment open
Covid had done a number to many small businesses, let’s keep this one alive!
