State meets have a way of reminding us just how difficult it is to compete among the very best in Ohio.

Today, Braylon Goon concluded his outstanding high school track career in the Division V State 1600 Meter Run. While the race didn’t unfold quite the way he had hoped, qualifying for the State Meet and earning the opportunity to compete on this stage is an accomplishment very few athletes ever achieve.

Braylon’s Mapleton career have been filled with so memorable moments. We are so lucky to have shared time and growth together over the years.

Success in track & field is often measured by times, places, and medals, but those who have followed Braylon’s journey know his impact reaches far beyond the results sheet. His work ethic, leadership, and commitment to improvement have left a lasting mark on our program.

We are proud of all that Braylon accomplished during his career and grateful for everything he has contributed to Mapleton Cross Country and Track & Field.

Congratulations on an outstanding career, Braylon. Thank you for representing Mapleton so well.

We wish you the best of luck at Ashland University next fall. We will always be watching you and cheering you on.
